We put on several annual events, including "A Taste of Thornton Park, which is our annual fundraiser for the maintenance of the beloved Four Rivers Fountain, printing quarterly newsletters, holiday luminaries, Easter egg hunt, beautification projects, and special events.
The Thornton Park Neighborhood Association is a free, voluntary organization composed of the residents of Orlando’s historic Thornton Park Neighborhood, in downtown Orlando, Florida, USA.
Thornton Park is a very close community. We welcome new residents with a Welcome Wagon, plan socials, and encourage our neighbors and businesses alike to participate in our quarterly street cleanups.
Thornton Park loves autumn and Halloween! Many of our neighbors erect scarecrows to celebrate the season.
At our quarterly Neighborhood Association meetings, residents receive a crime report from our City Commissioner and OPD Liaison Officer. Local happenings and safety concerns in the area are discussed. The TPNA Neighborhood Watch & Safety Committee includes our Block Captains.
New Neighbors receive a visit from our Welcome Wagon! Several resources are given out, including our new-resident Welcome Packet, Gardening & Recycling Guide, and Safety Guide. You can find them here, too.
It’s also great for new tenants!
Thornton Park publishes a quarterly newsletter, highlighting the events, new businesses, pets, people, and good news of the neighborhood. Block Captains help distribute a copy for free to each home.
